Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve shows the discriminative performance of the diagnostic scale. Discriminative performance is the ability of the scale to distinguish between patients with and without subacute thyroiditis. The ROC curve plots the sensitivity vs 1-specificity for different cut-off values of the scale. The diagonal line indicates the curve for a virtual model without predicting value (ROC of 0. 5)
