Sections of the tumor were stained by hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) as well as chromogranin A, synaptophysin, insulin and Ki67 (Magnification × 400). Tumor cells were positive for chromogranin A, synaptophysin and insulin, and the proliferation index, assessed by Ki67 immunostaining, was < 2.0% (NET, G1, according to WHO 2019). Tumor cells were negative for glucagon, gastrin, and somatostatin (data not shown)
